The Alba Festival is one of the largest multicultural events in Switzerland. In 2025, it once again drew tens of thousands of visitors to Zurich with music, food and an incomparable atmosphere.

Incidentally, the number of orders ran into five figures, but what really mattered was that JamWaiter made sure no stand was overwhelmed and every guest was served promptly.

The system showed no outages, no double bookings and no chaotic stock levels, but instead calm, clarity and happy guests.

Real-time sales display, always on top of things

A special highlight of JamWaiter is the real-time sales display: every stand manager could see on their device at any time how much their stand had taken so far, both in absolute figures and as a chart.

This transparency motivated the teams and made management much easier: if one product was in higher demand at a stand, the team could react immediately and redeploy staff flexibly.

Although the festival was a great success, valuable insights were gathered again this year:

• More cool boxes for phones: The mobile devices running JamWaiter were in constant use and got hot. Cool boxes helped as an ad hoc solution; in future they will be planned in from the start.

• More devices: Demand was so high that additional terminals at the busiest stands would make sense.

• Additional training: Even though JamWaiter is very intuitive, it pays to prepare temporary staff in particular more thoroughly for the most important functions.
